In my free time I travel to see my family. As I am 550 km away from them. I have a lot of hobbies that I can’t fully devote myself to over long distances.

Trocha zosúladiť pracovné pozície.

A čo Tvoj voľný čas?
Cez voľný čas cestujem k rodine. Nakoľko som vzdialená od nich 550 km. Mám veľa záľub, ktorým sa naplno nemôžem venovať pre veľkú vzdialenosť.

Why did you choose Geba Cables?
After six years of work experience, I wanted to try something new. They offered it to me in a newly established company in 2013.

How did your career develop?
To learn the ropes, I started work in Mikulov as a production operator and after two months I came to the position where I currently work and after five years I also substitute the master during his absence.

What do you enjoy about your job?
What I enjoy most about my job is working with people, organizing work and solving problems. My effort against various obstacles is rewarded with great thanks from my work team, which makes me extremely happy and fulfilled.

What do you like best about Geba Cables?
Good results of the work done, a reliable team and stability are the biggest benefits at work for me.

What do you think should change in Geba Cables?
Communication between departments should be improved. People should value their work as well as the company property more. We are on the right track after the recent organizational changes and I firmly believe that the results will be satisfactory for everyone.

And what about your free time?
I don’t have free time to give away, but I dedicate everything to my family, especially to the little grandson.

Prečo si si vybrala Geba Cables?
Po šesťročnej pracovnej skúsenosti som chcela skúsiť niečo nové, ponúkla mi to práve v novovznikajúcej firme v roku 2013.

Ako sa vyvíjala Tvoja kariéra?
Na zaúčanie som nastúpila do Mikulova ako operátorka výroby a po dvoch mesiacoch som bola na tejto pozícii, kde pracujem doteraz a po piatich rokoch robím aj zástupkyňu počas majstrovej neprítomnosti.

Čo ťa na Tvojej práci baví?
Najviac ma na mojej práci baví práca s ľuďmi, organizovanie práce a riešenie problémov. Moja snaha v rôznych prekážkach je odmenená veľkou vďakou od môjho pracovného kolektívu, čo ma nesmierne teší a napĺňa.

Čo máš v Geba Cables najradšej?
Najväčšie pozitívum v práci znamenajú pre mňa dobré výsledky vykonanej práce, spoľahlivý tím a stabilita.

Čo by sa malo podľa Tvojho názoru v Geba Cables zmeniť?
Mala by sa zlepšiť komunikácia medzi oddeleniami. Ľudia by si mali prácu, ale aj majetok vo firme viacej vážiť. Viacmenej po nedávnych organizačných zmenách sme na dobrej ceste a pevne verím, že výsledky budú uspokojivé pre všetkých.

A čo Tvoj voľný čas?
Voľného času nemám na rozdávanie, ale všetok venujem svojej rodine, najmä maličkému vnúčikovi.

Why did you choose Geba Cables?
The company is not far from my place, so it suited me.

How did your career develop?
After graduating from school, I was looking for a job as a confectioner, because I had studied this field. But as I was looking for a job in a candy store, I was amazed at how badly it was paid. I plan to build a house with my partner and I could not afford to do such work. I was looking for something else and I found our company, where I have been working for more than four years.

What do you enjoy about your job?
I enjoy that this work is not still about the same thing around.

What do you like best about Geba Cables?
Probably the team that you are creating from the beginning. When there is a good team, everything is fine.

What do you think should change in Geba Cables?
I think the regime is stricter in other firms. People can’t be changed, so probably nothing.

And what about your free time?
Since I’m at work, it’s scarce. I spend it with family and friends.

Firma nie je ďaleko odo mňa, tak mi to vyhovovalo.

Ako sa vyvíjala Tvoja kariéra?
Po ukončení štúdia som si hľadala prácu ako cukrárka, pretože som tento odbor študovala. Lenže ako som hľadala prácu v cukrárňach, ostala som zaskočená, koľko ľuďom platia. Plánujem si s partnerom budovať domček a takúto prácu som si nemohla dovoliť robiť. Hľadala som niečo iné a našla som našu firmu, kde už pracujem 3 roky.

Čo ťa na Tvojej práci baví?
Baví ma to, že táto práca nie je stále o tom istom dookola.

Čo máš v Geba Cables najradšej?
Asi ten kolektív, ktorý si človek vytvára od začiatku. Keď je dobrý kolektív, hneď je všetko fajn.

Čo by sa malo podľa Tvojho názoru v Geba Cables zmeniť?
Myslím, že v iných formách to je prísnejšie. Ľudia sa meniť nedajú, tak asi aj nič.

A čo Tvoj voľný čas?
Keďže som v práci, je ho aj málo. Trávim ho s rodinou a priateľmi.

Why did you choose Geba Cables?
I chose to work for Geba Cables because of work organization – morning shift suited my college studies.

How did your career develop?
I started working as a production operator – connecting cables according to the drawing documentation. After nine months I became a production assistant, where I gained new experience, mainly in computer knowledge. After about half a year, I became a team leader of production, where the previous positions helped me a lot in getting started – I knew the production process and was able to navigate in the SAP system.

What do you enjoy about your job?
Every day is different, no stereotype. I like people, I like to get to know them, whether from their work or their private side. I try to make us all understand each other, help each other and be one team.

What do you like best about Geba Cables?
The team, cheerful people.

What do you think should change in Geba Cables?
Communication between some departments could be improved, maybe it would help certain people to move more in production and we would prevent some problems.

And what about your free time?
I spend my free time mostly with my family, walking the dog, reading a good book.

Prečo si si vybrala firmu Geba Cables?
Prácu v Geba Cables som si vybrala preto, lebo sa tu pracovalo na rannú zmenu, čo mi vyhovovalo kvôli vysokej škole.

Ako sa vyvíjala Tvoja kariéra?
Začala som pracovať ako operátorka výroby – zapájanie káblov podľa výkresovej dokumentácie. Po trištvrte roka som sa stala asistentkou výroby, kde som nabrala nové skúsenosti hlavne z počítačových znalostí. Zhruba po pol roku som sa stala teamleaderkou výroby, kde mi pri zaúčaní sa veľmi pomohli predchádzajúce pozície – poznala som výrobný proces a vedela sa orientovať v SAP systéme.

Čo ťa na Tvojej práci baví?
Každý deň je iný, žiadny stereotyp. Mám rada ľudí, rada ich spoznávam či už z pracovnej alebo súkromnej stránky. Snažím sa aby sme si všetci rozumeli, pomáhali si a boli jeden tím J

Čo by sa malo podľa Tvojho názoru v Geba Cables zmeniť?
Mohla by sa zlepšiť komunikácia medzi niektorými oddeleniami, možno by pomohlo aby sa určití ľudia pohybovali viac vo výrobe a predchádzali by sme tak niektorým problémom.

A čo Tvoj voľný čas?
Svoj voľný čas trávim prevažne s rodinou, prechádzky so psom, čítanie dobrej knihy.

Geba Cables created in a demerger from Gebauer & Griller Group

Vienna (9 Oct 2020) – GG Group (Gebauer & Griller) has demerged and sold its Elevator Division “Geba Cables” to the mid-cap investor Lafayette Mittelstand Capital. The demerged division consists of Vienna-based sales team and the two Elevator Cable production sites in Veľké Leváre, Slovakia and Bangalore, India.

Geba Cables’ experienced management team supported by Lafayette Mittelstand Capital as the new owner will continue to grow the Elevator Division with locations in Vienna, Slovakia and India under the name of “Geba Cables”. The transaction was undertaken with focus on long-term and sustainable development opportunities for the business units targeted, the involvement of employee representatives, and the preservation of all existing employee rights, thus representing a beneficial outcome for all parties involved.

Matthias Ungerboeck, CEO of the new Geba Cables, and Sandip Mehta, Head of the Indian and Asian Markets for the new Geba Cables added: “The market success of the Geba Cables elevator business of the past years, combined with the carve-out know-how and financial resources of our new owner, forms a solid base to continue serving and meeting the requirements of our global customers even better going forward. This ensures sustainable growth and employment for all our employees in Austria, Slovakia and India.” The elevator business with locations in Vienna (Austria), Vel’ké Leváre (Slovakia), and Bangalore (India) employs approx. 400 employees and will operate independently from former Gebauer & Griller under the new name Geba Cables.

Geba Cable’s product portfolio covers a wide range — starting with standard flat travelling cables up to customer specific cables such as cables with integrated data elements or cable systems with embedded glass optical fibre elements. Geba Cables offers custom tailored wiring harnesses for each elevator type. In 2019, Geba Cables generated revenue of approx. EUR 25 million. Geba’s elevator cable products are used to connect elevator cabinets with elevator control units for the transmission of electricity as well as data (incl. infotainment and video signals). The core products are complemented by products for the elevator control unit, elevator shaft wiring, machine room, elevator door wiring, as well as shaft lighting related assemblies.
